About Us
Our Mission
At Nature Pod Homeschool, we believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and connection to the natural world. With nature as our muse, we inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and nurture academic, social, and emotional growth.
Who We Are
Nature Pod Homeschool was started by a group of parents at the height of COVID in 2020. In the midst of social and academic chaos, we seized the opportunity to create a close community and envision the ideal learning space for our children. This vision included a connection to both people and nature, aiming to provide our children with a grounded and safe environment in which they could thrive in their academic adventures. We quickly learned that it is possible for children to enjoy learning and attending school each day when provided with this environment. Though we have grown significantly since then, these core values remain. We now operate as a nonprofit with a board that is fully comprised of parents and/or teachers whose children attend our school.
Our Teachers
Each of our three teachers is highly experienced and comes from a variety of backgrounds, including both public and private education. What they all share is a passion for helping each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally while prioritizing safety. Our teachers' shared goal is to keep learning fun and engaging in order to nurture each child's natural love of learning, resulting in confident lifelong learners! Our parents express immense appreciation for the role that our teachers play in both our children's lives and the greater community.
